CODE OF CONDUCT:
The Trepp Library is to be used for academic pursuits.  Students are expected to respect both the facility itself and the right of every student at our school to enjoy it as a place of quiet learning by adhering to the following:
Students violating any of these regulations will be instructed to leave the library and may be issued a detention or be the subject of other disciplinary action.

CHECKING OUT BOOKS/LATE FEES:
·       All current students of St. Monica Catholic High School have borrowing privileges for circulating materials with the use of their student I.D. card.
·       Materials checked out must be returned to the library within fourteen (14) days.
·       Checked-out materials may be renewed on or before the due date in person, by phone, or via email, provided the material to be renewed has not been requested by another user.
·       Fines for materials not returned or renewed by their due date will accrue at the rate of $.25/day per item; the student will lose borrowing privileges until all late fees have been paid.
·       If a request for renewal was denied and the checked-out materials were not promptly returned, the late fee will accrue on these materials at the rate of $.40/day per item.
·       All late fees MUST be paid in full before students will be allowed to take final exams.

COMPUTER USE/PRINTING:
·       Students’ signed Computer Network User Agreement and Parent Permission Forms MUST be on file before students will be allowed to use a computer.  ALL of the guidelines contained therein MUST be followed at all times.
·       A student wishing to use a computer MUST give his/her current student ID card to the librarian before using any computer.  He/she will then be ASSIGNED to a computer, given a numbered card corresponding to that computer, and logged in by the       librarian.  At NO time will a student be allowed to sit at a computer without presenting an ID card.  ONLY the student who has logged-in may use the computer; students may NOT double up at a computer.
·       When a student has completed his/her computer work, he/she MUST return the computer card to the librarian, who will then return the student’s ID card to the student and log the student out.
·       Students may ONLY use the computer to which they are assigned; students will be responsible for ALL computer activity on that computer until they are logged-out by the library staff.
·       Students cannot save their work to library computers.   Accordingly, students are strongly encouraged to carry a USB flash drive with them for their purpose.  A variety of flash drives and floppy discs are available for purchase in the library.
·       Students cannot access email accounts using school computers.
·       ONLY library staff may remove and distribute printed material from the printers – students are NOT permitted to remove any papers from the printers at any time.
·       Assignments printed in the library will ONLY be released to those students whose name actually appears on the assignment.
·       Because students cannot access their email accounts from school, students who need an assignment printed at school may email it to the library and it will be printed out by the library staff.  Students are responsible for picking up their printed assignments and delivering them to their teachers.
·       Students may print up to twenty (20) standard (black ink) pages per month at no cost.  Any pages in excess of this amount will be billed to the student at $.10/page.
·       To obtain color prints, students must save what is to be printed to a disc or USB stick and have the library staff print it from the librarian’s computer.  Color prints will be billed to the student at $.25/page.
·       Printing expenses will be billed to students at the end of each month.  All fees are due and payable within five (5) days.  No printing will be permitted by a student who is delinquent for printing fees from a prior billing period.

OTHER SERVICES:
